Our General Dentistry services

Composite Fillings

Tooth-coloured fillings repair cavities while blending seamlessly with your natural teeth for a healthy, beautiful smile.

Dental Bonding

Repair chips, cracks, or enhance your smile with a quick, seamless solution.

Dental Bridges

Restore your smile with a custom dental bridge. This permanent solution replaces missing teeth, preserves your bite, and prevents shifting, all while looking natural and feeling seamless.

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns are a key component of restorative dentistry, enhancing the strength, appearance, and durability of your teeth for a healthier, longer-lasting smile.

Dental Extractions

Dental extractions are a common, low-discomfort procedure that can relieve pain, prevent infection, improve oral health, and enhance dental function.

Root Canal

Root canal treatments are often precise, fast, and relatively pain-free, delivering immediate relief and helping to preserve your natural tooth.

Teeth Cleanings

Routine checkups and cleanings help prevent gum disease and tooth decay. Scheduling a cleaning and checkup every 6 to 8 months can help you avoid sudden dental pain and unexpected costs.

The Importance of Early Intervention and Routine Care

Taking proactive steps is always better than dealing with problems later. We aim to see you smile with confidence. Your health is our top priority, and our focus on preventive care and early intervention is driven by genuine concern for your well-being. By keeping your teeth, gums, jaw, and tongue in good health and addressing issues early on, you’ll experience less pain, fewer complications, and lower costs, ensuring you keep smiling.

Keep Your Natural Teeth for Longer

Cavities are the leading cause of tooth loss in younger adults, while gum disease is the primary culprit for tooth loss in older adults. By maintaining a good oral care routine at home and scheduling regular check-ups, we can detect early signs of decay and gum disease, allowing us to intervene before these issues become more severe.

Save your Money

Routine cleanings and check-ups are budget-friendly and can easily fit into your financial plan. Addressing minor decay with treatments like composite fillings is a cost-effective solution that pays off in the long run. However, more extensive treatments for advanced dental problems can be far more costly.

Don’t Even Think About It

Optimal oral health means you don’t have to worry about discomfort, painful gums, or sensitive teeth. You won’t have to be concerned about avoiding certain foods or feeling self-conscious about your smile. Properly cared-for teeth are naturally attractive, comfortable, and dependable.

Contact us today

to schedule an initial consultation & exam.

Your consultation will include an examination of everything from your teeth, gums and soft tissues to the shape and condition of your bite. Generally, we want to see how your whole mouth looks and functions. Before we plan your treatment we want to know everything about the health and aesthetic of your smile, and most importantly, what you want to achieve so we can help you get there.

Frequently Asked Questions

A dental check-up typically includes both cleaning and an exam. Regular cleanings help eliminate plaque and tartar that can accumulate even with regular brushing and flossing, while the examination allows the dental team to assess your overall oral health and detect any potential problems early.

Food particles that remain in the mouth, particularly in areas that are difficult to clean, feed the bacteria present. These bacteria release acids that break down tooth enamel, resulting in decay. A diet rich in sugary or acidic foods, such as soda and coffee, can accelerate this process.

Some individuals are genetically predisposed to cavities due to factors such as higher susceptibility to cavity-causing bacteria or difficulty cleaning overcrowded teeth. Practising good oral hygiene and a balanced diet can help reduce your chances of developing cavities.

Yes, fillings are important even if there is no pain. They prevent further decay and reduce the likelihood of future discomfort. Addressing the issue early helps prevent more extensive dental work later on.

Decaying teeth can often be treated and even healed with regular cleanings. If the decay is in its early stages, it can be addressed with fluoride treatments or composite fillings. For more extensive damage, a root canal may be needed to remove the infected tissue and save the tooth. Severely damaged teeth can be restored with a crown or veneer, which will protect and restore their function. In cases where the tooth cannot be salvaged, extraction followed by replacement with an implant or bridge will restore both function and appearance.

Routine cleanings and exams are safe during pregnancy and can help prevent oral infections. However, elective treatments such as teeth whitening should be delayed until after the baby is born. In case of a dental emergency, such as an infection, more invasive procedures like a root canal may be required.

Let’s be honest who likes going to the dentist? I personally would rather get kicked in the nuts with a safety boot on a Thursday morning than get my teeth cleaned. However, I have to say I had an amazing experience at Centerville Dental in Waterdown. The staff are all very friendly, kind and caring. My hygienist Tiffany was very sweet, and not only did she answer all my questions and concerns, she went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable the whole time she was cleaning my teeth…So it turns out going to the dentist shouldn’t be a kick in the head after all..sing it Dean!! Well done CVD team..well done!!

Centreville Dental was recommended by a friend, my dentist having retired. I'm "dental anxious" but sustained a broken tooth. Knowledgeable assessment occurred promptly, & the work done 2 days later. Dr Jayde was very thorough, working calmly and smoothly with assistant Jodi. Ongoing explanation helped with the dental anxiety. Results appears excellent. I'm very satisfied with all components of dental work as well as office services.

Dr. J took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I was comfortable throughout the visit. The clinic is clean, modern, and well organized. Scheduling was easy, and I was seen on time. I was scared of going back to the dentist after not going for a few years. I had poor experiences as a child and was fearful of the anticipated feedback I would receive. The team at Centreville Dental instantly reassured me that being there was step 1 in getting back on track with my oral health. Quickly I realized there were zero judgements, my anxiety started to fade away, and I was looking forward to my routine visits. I don’t have perfect teeth but the team makes me feel great about my smile every time I was there. I now go with my two oldest children and the staff are happy to watch them both while I have my own appointments. They have always been able to accommodate the time of day that works best for me and my kids enjoy going there. I have done a complete 180 in terms of my opinion of dentists and it is completely due to Centreville Dental. I never thought I would be here and I’m so thankful for their team!
